Automatic backwashing self-cleaning filter

Filter composed of a drum cut in several slots, each making the function of a “filtrating element”. A filtrating sock is set upon the drum and inside the drum we find a collector that, during the backwashing, rotates and intercepts one by one the slots where the flow runs through backwashing to the drainage, so that the pollutant on the filtrating sock can be removed.

The activation of the backwashing process can be: cyclic, manual, or by pressure drop. During the backwashing process a 15% of the whole flow rate is lost and its duration is about 30 seconds. The filter remains constantly in exercise even during the backwashing process. Backwashing can be controlled through a control box on the filter itself or throug PLC.

The most important feature of this filter is the strong backwashing process due to the fact that the slots are intercepted one by one so that the flow has a small section of passage so the velocity of the backwashing flow is very high.
